Volunteer Training
All volunteers with children and youth are required to complete or renew Child & Youth Protection Training on a yearly basis. We now have two options for completing training: in-person or asynchronous online through Google Classroom.

STEP ONE:
Complete a Volunteer application form
- NEW Volunteer ADULT (18+ years old)

STEP TWO:
Apply for Required Clearances (18+ years old)
MUST BE CURRENT WITHIN THE PAST 3 YEARS (January 1, 2022)

- Free every 5 years; if overlapping in 3-year cycle, contact

- Federal Criminal Record History (FBI Clearance)
- If you have lived within the state of PA for 10+ years, complete the Exemption Certification Adult Volunteers
- If you have lived OUTSIDE the state of PA within the last ten years: Clearance Website

STEP THREE:
Complete CHILD & YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING
Everyone must complete Training every year.
- IN-PERSON Training
- STRONGLY RECOMMEND in person if it’s your first time; follow up with Rachel if you cannot.
